Brief #5: An interactive animation from script to screen.

Part 1
PREPRODUCTION

Create pre-production documents needed to create a 30sec - 3 minute-long narrative animation. These are:

  • Synopsis,
  • Script,
  • Treatment,
  • Character profiles and/or character sheets (visuals),
  • Storyboard.

You may also include other visuals as appropriate - eg atmospherics, sets, look-and-feel.

Propose subject with a brief paragraph describing the concept. Emailed to SS by 17.07.06

Deliverables: Synopsis, script, treatment, character profiles and/or character sheets (visuals) and storyboard for a 3min (max.) animation.

PRESENTATION: Class start 18.09.06 

Part 2
TAKING YOUR SCRIPT TO SCREEN

1. Produce an animated storyboard in Flash using the storyboard produced as above. Produce a frame-by-frame click-through at a minimum but you may include animated elements, soundFX and interactive elements.

2. Produce a title sequence for your project using symbols and loops in Flash...

3. ...finishing at a navigation screen for the project elements. At a minimum these are

  • Storyboard
  • Characters
  • Script

4. Produce Character, script and any additional pages and Actionscript navigation between them.
